My photos are usually available in three different versions. Prices shown next to the photos are in euros.
Luster paper is a rigid, heavy weight, bright white RC media - with the grainy (luster) surface of traditional photo papers. I will deliver the marked images between two sheets of cardboard without laminating, larger photos in rolls.
Cassination is nothing more than gluing the print to a board, so there is more opportunity to show the image than if it were framed without it. If you design the mounting cleverly, perhaps combining it with framing and paste-up, the mounted image will visually stand out from its surroundings, giving emphasis to the photo's visual impact.
Above a certain size, it is recommended to stiffen it further with a hanging frame (which also holds it against the wall, floating the picture).
Gatorfoam indicates that the paper is mown on foam board. The 5 mm so-called Gatorfoam® foam board is a backing board where dense polystyrene foam forms the core of the board between two rigid fibreboard covers. It is waterproof on the outside, difficult to break, and does not bend. Gatorfoam board is virtually acid-free, and its archival quality and light weight, combined with its excellent rigidity, make it ideal for museum and gallery applications worldwide.
Mounting on Dibond® sheet (also known as aluminium-sandwich sheet) is the perfect solution for archival quality, unframed images and large format mounting. The material is a black plastic layer (core) in the centre, covered by two thin layers of aluminium. Dibond is the best archival mount material and the only option when you need to create a particularly large image or need an elegant look.
